Author’s notes:
1. The apathetic character is a difficult one to maintain. Apathy goes against my own nature, so I rely on what I’ve observed in others, along with my own tendency to sometimes get distracted to the point where I may seem apathetic. In reality I’m simply getting stressed over the need to help, and the inability to remove myself from my current situation.
2. I have no plans to write Adult Content fiction pieces for this challenge, but it happens, and it’s sometimes beyond my control if I’m to remain authentic to my muse. I will place a warning in the title of those posts which fall under the AC category.

I can see where the apathetic character would be difficult to write, especially one who ignores her kids. However, is she really apathetic or just distracted. Fun start to AtoZ.
I actually thought of that. But then I put myself in the exact situation and figured, I couldn’t sit through my kids in that much distress, so my character must not care. It’s a book after all, not a movie that can’t be rewound…

Oh – I like it! And I think a good mother can still find herself feeling apathic towards her kids every now and then. It’s a testament to how much she trusts that they are not actually in dire need of her, and therefore don’t currently require her empathy, sympathy or attention!
As an (AC) writer myself, I certainly wouldn’t be unhappy to see something naughty pop up a some point during the month!
