If you’d like to buy it, now is definitely the time. I have no idea how long they’ll keep the price down, so don’t wait!

The Magician’s Blood is up for an award!!

I’m so excited! Not only has The Magician’s Blood been nominated for the Reviewer’s Choice Award by the Paranormal Romance Guild, my entire series is up for an award too!

The PNR Guild is arguably the place to go to find excellence in paranormal romance. I was so happy last year when The Magician’s Curse won in the category of Gothic romance. This year, they have me in Fantasy-Demons, Devils and Angels, which actually fits better with the sub-genre of the second book.

But in order to win, I need your help. All you have to do is be signed in to your Google account and then go to the following link and vote:

https://www.paranormalromanceguild.com/2018-prg-reviewers-choice-awards-ballot/

My categories are about a third of the way down the page. Make sure you vote in both categories: once for the book and once for the series. You only get one chance to vote…

The Chronicles of Mary, Part 4

Tired of taking public transportation, Mary bought an old used car. One day on her way back to the parking lot at the end of the busy workday, she was surprised to see a man and a woman trying to unlock her car with a coathanger.

“Can I help you?” Mary asked the woman, who was standing back watching.

The woman eyed the man shiftily and said, “We can’t get in.”

“Here, let me try.” Mary took the coathanger from the man, thinking this might be a chance to have a little fun. She fiddled with the coathanger, moving it this way and that, but she couldn’t quite reach the knob inside to open the door. “Nope,” she said after a while. “I can’t get it.

“Oh wait,” Mary went on. “I think I have a key.”

Mary pulled out her car key and opened the door. The man and the woman ran away. Mary laughed all the way home.

262. (268MAY16WEDS)Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right

Wednesday, May 20th, 5:00pm
Drew (and Zoey)

Drew sits at the window. Zoey takes the seat beside him.

Drew: There is a bird in a tree.

Zoey: I’m sorry?

Drew: There is a bird in a tree… or is the tree simply there for the bird?

Zoey: I think the bird…

Drew: (holds up a finger) You are going to say that because the bird moves and the tree does not that the bird is the one who must be the subject, the one who provides the action, and the tree is merely awaiting the bird’s arrival. BUT! Does not the tree live longer?

Zoey: (nods slowly) It does…

Drew: So again, I ask, is the bird in the tree or does the tree exist for the bird?

Zoey: …Both?

Drew: (frowns) I must contemplate this further.

Zoey: You’re welcome.

Next stop: Thursday, May 21st, 6:00pm
